With an initial investment of around R$ 10 per share, the product eliminates historical barriers that restricted social and environmental impact investments to major institutional investors or exclusive funds.<\/p>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"7\">Through the ETF, retail and institutional investors of any size can allocate capital to a diversified portfolio of fixed income securities linked to clear eligibility criteria and the promotion of sustainable development in the Amazon region.<\/p>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"8\">AMAB11 tracks the performance of the <b data-path-to-node=\"8\" data-index-in-node=\"37\">Teva Amazonia Bonds Index<\/b>, specially developed to select assets aligned with the region&#8217;s sustainable development. Furthermore, the index portfolio undergoes monthly rebalancings, ensuring that asset selection remains constantly aligned with liquidity, risk, and socio-environmental eligibility criteria established by Teva \u00cdndices and the IDB, with an average duration\/reset period of around 760 days to secure a flat 15% capital gains tax rate.<\/p>\n<h3 data-path-to-node=\"11\">Economic dimension and preservation: convergent agendas<\/h3>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"12\">The creation of AMAB11 reflects a structural shift in how the financial market views the Amazon. For us, financial innovation doesn&#8217;t just mean creating products, but developing solutions capable of connecting investors to structural economic themes in a simple, transparent, and accessible way.&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<h3 data-path-to-node=\"18\">The &#8216;Amazon Forever&#8217; program and the role of the IDB<\/h3>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"19\">AMAB11 was born under the <i data-path-to-node=\"19\" data-index-in-node=\"26\">Amazon for All<\/i> initiative, structured by the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) as part of the <i data-path-to-node=\"19\" data-index-in-node=\"124\">Amazon Forever<\/i> program\u2014a holistic platform created by the multilateral institution to guide public and private financing in the region.<\/p>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"20\">The product&#8217;s methodology was developed in partnership with Teva \u00cdndices, which was responsible for designing a pioneering index with transparent eligibility rules for selecting and monitoring the fixed income assets that make up the portfolio.<\/p>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"21\">Attending the event at B3, Ilan Goldfajn, President of the IDB and former President of the Central Bank of Brazil, emphasized the symbolic and practical nature of the initiative, highlighting four fundamental pillars of the new instrument: democratization, social impact, holistic vision, and capital markets strengthening.<\/p>\n<blockquote data-path-to-node=\"22\">\n<p data-path-to-node=\"22,0\">&#8220;I would say that we aren&#8217;t just launching another ETF. We are ringing the bell of the Amazon Rainforest for all Brazilians and for Brazil. For a long time, preserving the Amazon was something for large investors, sometimes corporations. But today, with as little as 10 Reais, any Brazilian can, with a few clicks on their phone, invest in an instrument that gives them the satisfaction, comfort, and responsibility of sustainably developing the Amazon. The individual becomes an owner of a piece of a sustainable project.&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<h3 data-path-to-node=\"26\">Systemic vision and liquidity creation for the region<\/h3>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"27\">Another central point addressed by executives during Ring the Bell is the multiplier effect that a fixed income ETF can have on the issuance of new sustainable bonds (green, social, and sustainability bonds) linked to the Legal Amazon.<\/p>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"28\">By creating a transparent and liquid secondary vehicle with daily exchange-traded shares, a virtuous cycle is fostered: companies and concessionaires operating in the region find greater institutional and retail demand to raise capital via financial markets for projects in sanitation, energy transition, clean logistics, connected healthcare, and sustainable agriculture.<\/p>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"29\">Ilan Goldfajn emphasized how this structure connects the financial side to the social reality of Amazonian populations:<\/p>\n<blockquote data-path-to-node=\"30\">\n<p data-path-to-node=\"30,0\">&#8220;It&#8217;s not just the public sector that has to look after the Amazon; the private sector must as well. It&#8217;s not just about addressing deforestation\u2014you can&#8217;t address deforestation without offering economic alternatives. Therefore, our projects also focus on urban infrastructure, water, sanitation, housing, supporting Indigenous communities, connectivity, providing telemedicine across the Amazon, and sustainable agriculture (&#8230;).
